After taking office back off my computer and reinstalling it to see if there was anything in the setup that suggest if was pro plus there was 1 line saying something on the lines of Currently installing MS Office Professional Plus, that was the only reference anywhere to it being Pro Plus software, it is not even mentioned on the splash screen the the Office Products start, mind you if I had seen pro plus originally I probably would have wondered what the extras were I certainly would not have thought it meant the software was not for general resale.
I filed a report with MS Counterfeit investigations, and sent the software off to them for further investigation. My question is - is there anywhere that a potential purchaser can to to lookup a reseller to see if they are Genuine, basically apart from their word how do you tell? Which shows the status of a reseller number? Sorry bout the waffle I feel like a prize jerk over this, I tried to help my friend and wound up with egg on my face, simply cos I couldn't find any way to verify if the reseller was genuine.
